Hi, my name is Amelia Earhart and I was the first to fly solo across the Atlantic Ocean. I was born on July 24, 1897. I was born in Atchison Kansas. I am married to George Putnam. My parents are Amy and Edwin. I am named after my two grandmothers.
When I was 10 years old I saw my first plane and I was not impressed. I was friends with Eleanor Roosevelt. She wanted to learn how to fly. I was the 16th woman to receive a pilots license. A pilot license permits to fly aircraft that is issued by the Civil Aviation Association.
I soon broke many records and I encourage many women to fly but its very dangerous but I took it very seriously. I wanted to break more records so I tried I went across the pacific ocean and found a how land island I tried to go back to the island than I disappeared.
